Join us if you want to make a meaningful impact on the future of technology while being part of a thoughtful, driven team.THE OPPORTUNITY:This will be the first manufacturing technician hire on a growing team, shipping first product and able to make a huge impact. Our technicians will assemble, test and package our automated instrument using procedures, drawings, and work instructions. We will work collaboratively to meet and exceed Volta Labs and customer's performance and quality expectations.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies using hand tools, fixtures.
  • Ability to independently read and understand assembly drawings, work instructions and assembly procedures.
  • Clearly communicate to manufacturing and engineering team any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Responsible for keeping manufacturing areas organized, clean and a safe work environment.
  • Maintain travelers, test reports and all relevant documentation up to date.
  • Provide feedback on assembly and test documentation.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school Diploma Required.
  • 3 to 5 years experience working in fabrication or manufacturing environments. Ideally, including instrument/device/robot manufacturing and assembly.
  • Mechanical/Electrical aptitude with ability to read schematics.
  • Ability to follow process and test documentation.
  • Proactive working to improve the manufacturing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail providing the highest quality of work.
  • Quick Learner with electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP and PLM software.This is a full-time position that requires a significant amount of in-person work and collaboration. We ask that you can come onsite to our Seaport Office in Boston, MA 5 days a week.Our Benefits and Perks:
