more secure world. - - The Sensor Power and Analog Design
Department (SPAD) at Raytheon is seeking electronics technicians to
build, test, document, and troubleshoot analog and power
electronics, assemblies, and systems. The hardware types perform a
variety of functions with applications ranging from low power to
high voltage and high current. Specific tasks may include hands-on
fabrication of prototype hardware, use of electrical test
equipment, fabrication tools and schematic capture. The ideal
candidate is self-motivated, works independently and committed to
developing advanced knowledge and skills related to analog and
power electronics. SPAD -is responsible for design engineering
including the following areas: -
- Power System Design -- Power System Noise, System Simulation
and Modeling, Solid State Transmitters, Tube Transmitters, High
Voltage Design, Power Sources, Generators
- Power Conversion -- AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and
Switching Supplies, Power Factor Correction (PFC), Zero Voltage
Switching (ZVS), Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise
Controls
- Power Distribution -- Ground, Air, Shipboard, and Space, Power
Generation, Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power,
DC, AC, Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation,
Protection Circuits, Redundant Systems
- Power Sub-System Design -- Filters, Harmonic Control, EMI,
Circuit Simulation, Magnetics, Protective Relay Systems, Short
Circuit and Stress Analyses
- Control Systems -- Servo Control Systems, Motor/Power/Process
Control, Digital Feedback Systems, Command Generation, Inertial
Stabilization, Navigation Algorithms This position is an on-site
role. What you will do:
- Work closely with engineering teams in a lab environment
supporting research and development electrical concepts to actual
products. Work may also include supporting legacy products.
- Various facets of testing, presenting technical data to
engineers for review.
- Engage in personal technical growth, and facilitate technical
growth in peers
- Travel to Marlborough, MA; Tewksbury, MA; Andover, MA; Woburn,
MA; and/or Pelham, NH may be required depending on the assignment.
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a B.S. degree or 2 years minimum experience
in electronics hardware fabrication, bread boarding, test,
troubleshooting and/or the ability to read technical documentation
or an A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology and 4+ years of
relevant experience. - In absence of a degree, 6+ years minimum of
relevant experience is typically required.
- Experience with power and digital test equipment to verify the
performance of electronics such as oscilloscopes, function
generators, power sources AC/DC.
- Experience with soldering surface mount and through hole
electronics, fabricate electrical-mechanical hardware such as test
boxes and wire harnesses.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Hands-on experience with high voltage or high current
electronics
- Knowledge of Mentor Graphics, Creo Schematics, or related
schematic capture/board and layout tools
- Ability to write detailed test reports
- Experience working in engineering and manufacturing
environments
- Experience troubleshooting/servicing field equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working as part of a larger team.

Massachusetts locations The salary range for this role is 64,000
USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited
to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a
candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key
skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including
