JOB SUMMARY:

The Data Analyst is detail oriented, data-driven, problem solver you will be analyzing, and interpreting technical data for informed decision-making. Will contribute to our broader data Management team and facilitating partnerships with key stakeholders. The Data Analyst must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills. Should have a thorough understanding of project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall. Also be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a team. Important to display excellent verbal and written communication and people skills, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the efforts to fulfill a client request including but is not limited to:
    * Understanding client needs
    * Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data management projects.
    * Creating detailed technical documentation including data mappings and process flows.
    * Communicating effort, timelines, risk, and client impact
    * Facilitating communication between technical and non- technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
    * Participating in testing and data validation of data management solutions to ensure they meet business needs and technical standards.
    * Assisting in project planning, task prioritization to ensure timely delivery of data management initiatives.
    2. Documenting data flow and mapping requirements, delivering status updates, following standards, policies, and processes.
    3. Coordinates data remediation plans where data fails to meet required standards by working with business owners and IT.
    4. Function as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, build and maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues (including IT, Sales and Marketing, and Operations) and external contacts.
    5. Manage and coordinate IT deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders.
    6. Participate in implementation meetings with clients and vendors committed to establishing a partnership with MultiPlan.
    7. Ensure proper setup of all systems that support file transfer and claims processing between MultiPlan and clients.
    8. Work on standard as well as custom, non-standard projects on a daily basis.
    9. Conduct necessary testing and in-depth analysis to resolve any potential issues prior to rolling clients into the production environment.
    10. Proactively prioritize, communicate, and resolve any process or system issues. Analysis and reporting on client enquiries. Finding gaps and proposing viable solutions.
    11. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of claims workflows. Partner with other IT teams to implement enhancements and defect fixes.
    12. Report progress & measurements of implementation success to clients and all stakeholders. Perform routine and ad hoc analysis of various facets of data processing including but not limited to system performance, turnaround times, data mapping, and claim volumes.
    13. Analyze data to identify potential process improvement opportunities. Perform gap analysis, communicate, and implement potential solutions. Proactively remain informed on ever changing client specific business rules to ensure accuracy.
    14. Prepare and maintain documentation that defines operational procedures, describes client requirements, and share relevant analysis outcomes with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to building and maintenance of knowledge repository on processes and procedures on a regular basis. Present information learned as part of daily work with the larger team.
    15. Exhibit excellent teamwork by providing coverage and support for other team members as well as leads/managers. Also support Manager with team goals, corporate strategies and deployment activities during release weekends if needed.
    16. Participates and leads the work of subordinates with good leadership and decision-making skills will Train, mentor and coach junior team members, Handle escalated issues and enquiries from less experienced team members, and consistently articulates ideas, opinions and information and shares this in a timely manner with others.
    17. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
    18. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values.
    19. Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
    20. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
    21. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data -- this role is considered to be a High-Risk Role.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
  • 3 to 5 years progressive experience in a data analyst role. Comprehensive understanding of healthcare data processing. 3 years must be in SQL writing complex queries utilizing multiple tables and datasets to analyze and evaluate data within an SQL database.
    • Experience and working knowledge of data in a healthcare data management environment. Data management background who understands data, data ingestion, proper use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship.
    • Advanced experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Service Now, Confluence, JIRA. Text editors like Ultraedit, Textpad, Notepad++.
    • Knowledge of ETL is a plus.
    • Clear understanding and working knowledge of HIPAA protocols.
    • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Superior customer service skills, preferably in a technical implementation capacity.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of work experience and technical training. Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable.
      COMPENSATION

      The salary range for this position is $95K to $100k. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
