Job Description:

Adecco in conjunction with Smiths Medical in Southington, CT is seeking individuals to fill Machine Operators with prior machine operation experience. The Team Operator responsibilities include production of components at the quantities and quality levels to meet our specifications. With this Medical Manufacturer, a growing, innovative, fast paced, FDA regulated lean manufacturing company in Southington, CT. Smiths Medical offers a temperature controlled environment, on site fitness facility. Once hired on with Smiths they offer great medical, dental, vision, 401K, and Tuition reimbursement benefits.

Training is provided for individuals who are hired.

Positions are available on the following shifts:

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM - Wednesday - Sunday

Some of the Key Responsibilities of the Temp to Perm Machine Operators are:

* Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to the product and/or processes, which include quality checks and testing.

* Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and/or quality system and disposition material as needed.

* Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

* Assigned to operating various machines in either Molding or Extrusion i.e. Injection * Machine Operation or Extruder Machine Operation. Material handling included.

* Compliance to SOP?s, Process Controls, PCP?s and Safety.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and business practices including FDA (Food & Drug Administration) regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) requirements.

Some of the Key Requirements of the Temp to Perm Machine Operators are:

* High school or equivalent.

* 1 to 2 years of machine operation experience.

* Good working relationship and communication skills.

* Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

* Ability to perform visual, dimensional, and process inspections.

* Basic computer skills and knowledge of the shop floor system.
