So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.SimpliSafe is seeking a Sr. UX Designer to lead and manage our design systems to join our growing UX Design and Research team within Product. In this role, you will work across the organization to evolve and maintain a comprehensive design system for internal and consumer products across web and mobile platforms working collaboratively with product, engineering, and other UX designers across multiple product areas to deliver engaging services across all platforms.What You'll Do:

  • Design mobile and web components and patterns in close collaboration with design and engineering teams, brand guidelines, and business requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with designers, content designers, researchers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and develop our design system to meet the business's and user goals and drive adoption.
  • Maintain and improve the mobile and web component design libraries in Figma based on internal user feedback.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and best practices to evolve the design system.
  • Create detailed documentation to support the design and engineering use of the design system, including governance to uphold the quality, change management, QA, and release cycles.
  • Management of branching and tracking the development work in Figma for design handoff processes.
  • Lead and improve how our product teams design and build day-to-day using the design system.
  • Build accessibility into the creative design process and advocate for inclusive experiences across all platforms.What You Need for Success:
    • You are an expert with various design tools such as Figma, Zero Height, Storybook, etc.
    • You are a design systems, visual design, interactions, and micro-animations expert.
    • You love orchestrating the visual flow of UI content, using design fundamentals like typography, color, and iconography.
    • You have deep experience designing for both consumer-facing and back-office products for iOS, Android, and web.
    • You understand technical constraints, have coding experience, and can design iterative solutions to effectively partner with UX and engineering teams.
    • You have experience with Design Ops orchestrating design teams, processes, and tools to amplify creativity and impact at scale.
    • You are passionate about design as a craft and meticulous attention to detail driving what needs to be done, why, and the best way to do it.
    • You are a strong communicator, generative, open to new ideas and diversity of thought.
    • You have created products that have successfully shipped that need to evolve and be maintained.
    • You must have an online portfolio that highlights your design thinking and expertise.BONUS
      • Degree in a design and/or human behavior-related field, such as Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial design, Architecture, graphic design, interaction design, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Economics, or Computer Science.
      • You understand that great user experiences go beyond the digital screen, and you have experience working with experiences at the intersection of hardware, software, and service design.What Values You Share:
