The Maine Divorce Group (MDG) is looking for a passionate and skilled litigator who's eager to dive into complex cases, handle contested divorce hearings, and advocate for clients in high-stakes situations. We're seeking a dynamic advocate who thrives on both the complexities and rewards of family law. If you love working with clients, strategizing for depositions, and balancing courtroom advocacy with negotiation, this is the place for you.

Responsibilities:
--- Legislate and resolve matters related to divorce and separation, covering areas such as property division, child custody, and alimony
--- Maintain effective communication with clients and other relevant parties involved in legal proceedings
--- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, demonstrating strong advocacy skills
--- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court hearings, trials, and depositions
--- Conduct comprehensive legal research and offer expert legal advice to clients
--- Draft a variety of legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and appeals

Qualifications:
--- 1 - 5+ years of experience practicing family law
--- Membership and good standing in the American Bar Association
--- Strong negotiation and mediation skills
--- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
--- In-depth knowledge of family law regulations and procedures
--- Experience in courtroom representation
--- Client-centered approach, demonstrated through compassion, connection, and clear communication
--- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic legal team
