Job Responsibilities
Modis is currently sourcing for an exceptional candidate for an
open Project Manager here in Boston, MA. In addition to
leading Agile and Scrum education sessions, our ideal candidate
will be leading multiple teams on project assignments, reviews,
debriefs, release planning, demos and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Leads teams as a Scrum Master facilitating scrum sessions
throughout the company
- Educate and coach the company and its employees on Agile
/ Scrum practices
- Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and company,
coaching both to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable
pace
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove
impediments by finding the right personnel to remove
them
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion,
assigning, or dictating work
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict
resolution
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release
progress
- Identify and manage dependencies with other teams and
ensure cross-team coordination
SKILLS / EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
required
First level Scrum Master Certification (PSM I, CSM) perferrd
Second level Scrum Master Certification (PSM II, CSP) preferred

- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one
year for a software development team
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership,
facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement,
empowerment, and increasing transparency
- The ability to distinguish between what ‘is Scrum’ and
what ‘is not Scrum’
- Knowledge of and experience with well documented and
successful Agile techniques (e.g., User Stories, Continuous
Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Burndown
techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Preferred Skills/Experience

- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two
years for a software development team
- Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of
contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different
cultures, etc.)
- Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum,
including training, conferences, user groups, self-study,
etc.
