Opportunity for strong leadership working across globally distributed teams.As a Principal Engineer for AI-driven Search, you will play a crucial role in shaping the AI-first, multi-domain, and multi-modality content discovery and content curation strategy and driving the development of innovative technical solutions across our platform.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, architect, build, and integrate advanced AI search capabilities that enhance our product offerings and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth and success by leading AI-powered technology and architectural initiatives and ensuring their alignment with our business objectives.What you will do:

  • AI Technology and Architecture Development: Define and drive the AI Technology and Architectural directions for Seismic, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps.
  • AI Use Case Development: Work hands-on with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to build AI & ML applications, assessing tradeoffs and evaluating options to deliver high quality and high value product solutions.
  • Integration: Lead the integration of AI capabilities across the Seismic platform, including data foundation, conversational intelligence, video analysis, content management, and discovery systems.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the data science and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Product Innovation: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven product enhancements.
  • Performance Optimization: Define and analyze key metrics to measure the success of AI initiatives, ensuring high-quality, high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.Who you are:
    • Experience: 15+ years of experience (or 12+ years of experience with advanced degrees) in data science and AI, with a proven track record of building AI software products, and leading technical efforts.
    • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in AI & ML model and use case development, including hands-on experience with Python or related languages for data analytics, GenAI, and machine learning.
    • SaaS Knowledge: Extensive experience in SaaS application development and cloud technologies, with a deep understanding of modern machine learning technologies and operational infrastructure.
    • Product Development: Experience in collaborating with product management and design, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive successful delivery.
    • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
    • Strategic Mindset: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to develop a strong point of view and drive vision forward.
    • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

The range listed below is the minimum to the maximum of our target hiring range.This position is also eligible to participate in Seismic's incentive plans in addition to base salary.
