Job Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain a visually appealing store layout and product merchandising, ensuring a high-quality shopping experience for customers.
  • Leadership and Development: Work collaboratively with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the analysis of sales reports, labor, and inventory to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain advanced product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor paperwork.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer needs and questions, and directing team members to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Team Member Development: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel team members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
  • Performance Evaluations: Conduct timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations to support team member growth and development.
  • Company Image: Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market's vision and goals, ensuring a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.Job Skills
    • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills, decision-making ability, and the capacity to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.

    • Product Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of products, including regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
    • Mathematical Skills: Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.Experience
      • 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience
