Job Description:
Provides overall leadership to the Produce team. Responsible for
daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying,
merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance. Team Member
hiring, development, and corrective actions are also managed. The
job requires ensuring a positive company image by providing
courteous service to customers and Team Members. Key responsibilities include holding Team Members accountable
for delivering customer service, building a positive work
environment, making hiring decisions, and monitoring sales targets.
Maintaining product assortment, merchandising, and inventory
control are also essential. Collaborative relationships with
department leaders and vendors are required, as well as staying
informed about competitors and industry trends. Exceptional retail
execution, knowledge, and awareness of customer needs are
necessary. The job requires advanced knowledge of products, buying, and
inventory management. Food safety certification is also necessary.
Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills are
required, as well as the ability to teach others and manage
inventory. Leadership skills, decision-making ability, and
proficiency with Microsoft Office are also necessary. 24 months of retail experience, including 12 months of team
leadership experience, are required. The role requires standing for
6-8 hours, lifting 50 pounds, and working in a wet and cold
environment. A flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is
