Job Description:

House of Sport is a retail destination that offers a unique experience for athletes. As the Climbing Lead, you will be responsible for executing the climb department's vision, outfitting customers, and activating the in-store rock wall experience. You will drive engagement, training, and educational programs for customers and teammates, ensuring a high level of customer service and adherence to company standards.Key Responsibilities:

• Drive customer service excellence within the department, ensuring behaviors align with company service and selling standards.
• Bring product expertise to the customer experience, providing consultative advice and demonstrating excellent product knowledge.
• Instruct climbing techniques for customers of all ages and experience levels.
• Teach instructional lessons as needed or requested.
• Supervise climb sessions and uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
• Assist the store management team with general supervision, including opening and closing the store, performing Front End and Cash Office functions.
• Communicate company initiatives, programs, and promotions to department guides.
• Identify and correct safety concerns with the rock wall and climbing equipment, maintaining company loss prevention standards and controls.
• Ensure the safety and security of teammates, customers, and property, adhering to local regulations.
• Ensure all certifications are completed and up to date.
• Train and mentor new hires, sharing experience, knowledge, and best practices.

    • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Prior retail sales experience or customer-focused experience preferred
    • Climbing certification required
