  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse school of nursing
    
  • Current and active RN license in the state of Massachusetts
    
  • Knowledge of Geriatric Nursing required
    
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support in accordance with American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards required
    
  • Knowledge of growth and development across the life span
    
    Responsibilities:
    The duties outlined here are not exhaustive. The employee in this position is expected to perform these and any additional tasks as assigned by their supervisor or facility Administrator, even if not specifically listed. This role involves comprehensive oversight of resident care, regulatory compliance, team supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include:
    
    • 
      
    • Management and Supervision: Supervises and evaluates resident care, assigning tasks to staff according to qualifications and resident needs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing supplies.
      
    • Clinical and Patient Care: Provides direct patient care, conducts resident assessments, administers medications, and initiates corrective actions when needed. Also coordinates with physicians and assists in emergencies.
      
    • Safety and Health: Ensures safety through infection control, medication management, and adherence to facility policies, including resident rights to privacy and dignity.
      
    • Professional Development: Engages in ongoing education, attends meetings, and adheres to facility dress codes.
      
    • Documentation and Compliance: Maintains accurate records, revises care plans, completes discharge documentation, and adheres to documentation standards.
      
    • General and Non-Essential Functions: Assists in policy interpretation, participates in evaluations, and may be assigned to specific facility areas.
      
      This role requires professionalism, dependability, and cooperative work with all stakeholders to maintain high-quality resident care and compliance.
