InfiCare Health is seeking a local contract nurse RN Behavioral
Health for a local contract nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts.Job
Description & Requirements
Location: Salem, MA, 01970
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 19:00 - 07:30
Hourly Pay Rate: $61/hr
Job Summary: Must be able to treat patients with diverse types of
mental health issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation,
schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder,
and dual diagnosis patients: detox here on the unit while treating
mental health issues), and some medically acute patients (IVs,
CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care).
Skill Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication
dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health
records documentation, preferably EPIC; proficient in the use of
psychotropic medications and side effects; Able to assume the role
of charge nurse; Able to complete admissions and discharges;
Competent in the use of IV pumps; Competent in care of a diabetic
patient.
Additional Information: Knowledge of the Massachusetts Department
of Mental Health rules and regulations. Rights of inpatient
requirements related to restraint and seclusion, legal statuses.
Knowledge of laws pertaining to guardianship, healthcare proxy
(invoked vs confirmed) and court ordered Medication.
Must have:
Active RN license for MA state
Certification in De-escalation
AHA-BLS
2 years minimum of inpatient adult psych experience
