qualified Long-Term Care RN in Berlin, New Hampshire, 03570 About
The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty:
Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Job Duration:
13 weeks Shift: Evening and Night (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM / 11:00 PM -
7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1
year of LTC/SNF experience required; 2 years preferred. Open to
first-time travelers, though experienced travelers are preferred.
License: Valid RN license required Certifications: Basic Life
Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Prior experience in LTC/SNF,
flexible scheduling, willingness to work every other weekend, and
willingness to work holidays if needed. Job Description: - Manage
med passes, vital signs, blood sugar checks and management, wound
care, ostomy management, Foley management, and tube feeding
administration. - Assist other team members in providing resident
care. - Occasional management of IV antibiotics and potential PICC
line management. - Participate in Daily Huddles with the
interdisciplinary team, which includes PT, OT, SLP, Case Managers,
SW, and Dieticians. - Oversee facility operations if performing in
the House Supervisor role. - Ensure dementia and Alzheimer's
patients wear trackers for security, with door-locking mechanisms
activated when needed. - Utilize Point Click Care (PCC) with paper
charting for documentation. - Adhere to set nurse ratios, typically
1:17-20. - Provide respiratory management with CPAP, nasal cannula
without RT support on-site. - Follow dress code: professional
scrubs in any color, no big earrings or jewelry, no fake nails,
hair must be up, no face tattoos. - Flexibility to float between
floors as required. - Work within a facility with 100 resident
beds, consisting of 96 semi-private and 4 private beds across two
floors. This position offers a supportive work environment with
supervisors available as a resource and physician support available
after hours via on-call providers. The schedule is made six weeks
in advance, requiring flexibility to assist with staffing needs.
The Department of Nursing (DON) and Associate Director of Nursing
(ADON) will be in-house from 7 AM to 4 PM. 26078782EXPTEMP Job
