Job Description - Program Manager (128) (3311326)The Program
Manager will provide programmatic support for the Nutrition Obesity
Research Center at Harvard (NORCH) in the following ways:
- Working to coordinate key research services of the NORCH
including Core Services, Pilot & Feasibility Grants, statistical
services, and enrichment opportunities for the NORCH membership and
the Harvard community.
- Helping to organize large scale virtual and in-person symposia
for both local and nationwide audiences.
- Supporting the dissemination of research results within the
field of nutrition and obesity to our vibrant research
community.
- Serving as a central resource for all program related issues,
including managing and scheduling meetings, liaising with
development, troubleshooting website, coordinating all Center-wide
communications.
- Keeping up-to-date records of membership and publications.
- Managing the center's website and outreach efforts.
- Coordinating diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Assisting in NIH Grant Progress Reports and Renewal
Applications for the NORCH.Through this role, there will be
opportunities to collaborate with a team of Physician-Scientists,
Nurse-Scientists, Biostatisticians, and Clinical Research
Coordinators on work that has far-reaching clinical implications.
Motivated candidates may also take on additional special projects
involving data analysis, literature review, and preparation of
manuscripts for submission/publications.This position is ideal for
someone with a background in project management and a strong
interest in science and medicine who enjoys working with teams and
is excited by opportunities to facilitate education, mentorship,
and biomedical research. The MetU will support the professional
development of the project coordinator through provision of
opportunities to strengthen research and presentation skills and
dedicated career mentorship.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's
degree required; Master's degree in Business, Health Policy, Public
Health, or related degree preferred.Desired qualifications
include:

professionally with members of the research team and the
community.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and
projects, and prioritize competing demands.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational
skills.
- Initiative and motivation to work hard.
- Thoughtful and creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience with common computer software including Microsoft
Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and reference management
