Kitchen (ATK), one of the pioneering brands in food media, is
seeking a Director, Affiliate Commerce to oversee the expansion of
the company's affiliate commerce business. ATK reaches millions of
fans each month via TV, video, magazines, books, digital, social,
podcasting, and more, and is looking for an experienced lead to
drive ATK's affiliate commerce strategy leveraging the wealth of
platforms on which ATK operates. The ideal candidate will have a
proven track record of developing and scaling affiliate
partnerships that drive revenue via equipment and ingredient review
content across a variety of channels. Responsibilities include
operationalizing the strategy, integrating affiliate commerce
opportunities seamlessly into ATK's content and platforms,
onboarding new partners, negotiating commission rates, and tracking
and reporting on performance.This managerial position based in
Boston, MA will report to the VP, Editorial Strategy, and have a
role in helping to shape the future of the company where savory
aromas from the test kitchen waft through the
office.Responsibilities:
- Own and develop day-to-day relationships with existing
affiliate partners with goal to grow and maximize revenue
- Work closely with ATK's Digital Media teams (i.e. Product,
Design, Content and Tech) and Marketing teams (i.e. Social Media,
Newsletter, Paid, Brand) teams to define and execute strategy
- Identify opportunities for optimizing content and link
placement to expand the program
- Develop new affiliate partnerships and negotiate the best
possible commission rates to drive commerce revenue growth
- Evangelize affiliate eCommerce best practices across Editorial
and Marketing teams including information around rate incentives,
seasonal opportunities and promotions
- Report on account updates, revenue and projections of affiliate
networks to ATK Management team, Reviews team, Marketing and
Finance.
- Collect, analyze, and report performance data to optimize
engagement on ATK content that drives clicks and conversions to
affiliate partners
- Implement A/B testing, SEO/keyword analysis, and other
optimization strategies to improve conversion rates, CTR and
revenue
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and emerging
technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantages
- Team up with Data and Analytics and Finance teams to create
systems and processes to track and measure the performance of the
affiliate commerce business
- Lead, mentor and foster professional growth and development for
affiliate commerce team membersQualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in digital media and/or affiliate
eCommerce marketing
- Strong understanding of the product reviews space, and an
enthusiasm for products and brands across home, food, and cooking
categories
- Proven content marketing experience in a digital environment
with an emphasis on data collection and analysis
- General knowledge of e-commerce best practices and what drives
both content and affiliate performance
- Proficiency with major affiliate networks including Amazon
Associates, Impact Radius, CJ, Rakuten, AWIN, ShareASale,
Pepperjam, Partnerize, and major retailers including Amazon,
Walmart and Target
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling
effective collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong
relationships
- Strong understanding of affiliate commerce best practices,
including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, keyword analysis,
conversion rate optimization, and email marketing
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills; experience with
Trackonomics a plus
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive
informed decision-making
- Quantitative skills and the ability to translate performance
metrics into actionable insights
- Experience successfully managing budgets
- Familiarity with subscription businesses a plusThis position is
located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the
expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid
schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the
office and 2 days per week remotely.About America's Test
