Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CNC Manager to lead and direct our machining operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of daily/weekly production goals while maintaining a safe and disciplined work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure smooth production flow by overseeing material orders and inventory management. - Maintain accurate job status and completion records in the Plexus system. - Communicate daily production requirements to employees and ensure they are equipped to meet assigned tasks. - Monitor and optimize production output to meet quoted rates. - Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with quality and engineering teams. - Manage perishable tooling consumption within budget constraints. - Coordinate rework activities to minimize disruptions to the production schedule. - Conduct timely employee performance reviews (annual & 90-day). Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Lead and maintain the CNC machine shop, prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity. - Execute directives from the Manufacturing Manager and contribute to departmental goal-setting. - Schedule and supervise second and third shifts as needed, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met. - Participate in monthly production scheduling and ensure on-time deliveries. - Oversee Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting within managed departments. - Manage vacation requests and absences in accordance with company guidelines. - Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings. - Enforce company procedures and policies, taking disciplinary action when necessary. - Implement and uphold AS9100 systems and procedures within the department. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the use of AVOs, CARs, and ECRs. - Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, training programs, and ongoing education opportunities. Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC Machining Operations, 10 years preferred - Strong communication, organizational, mathematical, blueprint reading, and computer skills. - Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering value and exceeding expectations.
