Within ASML, the sector of Development & Engineering (D&E) is
responsible for the specification and the design of ASML products.
The department of Integration, Quality and Reliability Engineering
(IQR) is responsible for integration of prototype building blocks,
modules and subsystems into the whole machines to verify that they
meet functional requirements and performance specifications.
We are seeking a Configuration Engineer to join our Wilton D&E
System Integration group in the IQR department. You will be part of
an interdisciplinary team that tests and integrates our systems for
Development and Engineering (D&E). Our Wilton prototype modules
consists of an intricate network of optics, electronics,
mechatronics, and control systems. As the Configuration Engineer
you are responsible for defining module and system-level test rig
system configurations where dependencies, functionalities and
performance on lithography equipment modules are crucial.
Role and responsibilities
The Wilton DE (Development & Engineering) System Integration
department is responsible for the integration, verification and
release of lithography equipment modules that can be manufactured
and installed with the required quality and can also be maintained
in the field. We support D&E projects and their business lines,
manufacturing to achieve customer satisfaction. To support all
Wilton lithography module development, the Wilton DE (Development &
Engineering) System Integration department owns 4 test rigs across
the DUV & EUV business lines.
Your main task as Test Rig Configuration Engineer is to define test
rig configurations based on module specifications and to align with
multiple projects to reflect their Hardware and Software
deliverables. The Test Rig CE is part of the system integration
team, collaborates with System Test Architects, System Integration
Project Leaders, Proto and Upgrade Integrators, D&E projects,
Manufacturing and Customer Support to ensure we verify and test our
Wilton modules with the proper test rig configurations and
environments to show functional and performance compliance with
module specifications.
Main Activities and responsibilities:
Own and maintain the current & future test rig system level
configurations per the defined test rig roadmap.
Revise the test rig design bill of materials (BOM) as required to
reflect current and future configurations.
Ensure the current as-built configuration of each of the test rigs
are maintained and up to date.
Identify Config management process gaps and drive needed
improvements
Perform impact analysis on any configuration deviations.
Incorporate where required product-level configuration management
practices on test rig configuration management.
Share configuration management expertise and enable usage of
Configuration Management tools and processes within D&E Systems
Integration as needed.
Education and experience
A degree in engineering or sciences majors, e.g. Mechanical,
Electrical, Optical Engineering, Physics, etc. or equivalent
experience.
BS with minimum of 5 years' experience.
MS with minimum of 3 years' experience.
Preferred experience:
Background in system integration or relevant knowledge of related
activities is preferred.
Alternatively, experience in system upgrades or similar technical
roles will also be considered.
Hands-on experience in working on ASML machines
Experience with stakeholder management on all levels in a
multi-cultural environment.
Skills

Other information
This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite
presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and
meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and
innovation.
A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees
working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a
week).
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined
in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. -
730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to
access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business
demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are
immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
