Job Description:

The job involves ordering, replenishing and merchandising prepared foods products. It also includes participation in regional programs for purchasing and promotions. Inventory control is monitored and products are replenished accordingly. The role also involves assisting in organizing and developing promotional displays and maintaining OTS standards.Responsibilities include purchasing and replenishing food for preparation through proper buying procedures. Open PO reports are monitored and acted upon in an accurate and timely manner. Spoilage and shrink are controlled, and turn goals are achieved. The role also involves completing spoilage, sampling, temperature and sweep worksheets as required.Additionally, the role includes assisting with counter service and cooks as scheduled or as necessary. Communication with the Kitchen Manager/Chef and Team Leader on ordering needs and issues is also required. Maintaining a positive working relationship with vendors is essential.The position requires strong basic math skills, knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ordering systems, and excellent communication skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency is also required.Desired work experience includes 1+ years of Buying/Merchandising. The physical requirements include being able to lift 50 pounds, standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
