Join our client as a Manager of Operational Accounting near Boston,
MA, overseeing inventory, AP/AR, and key accounting functions for a
public manufacturing company. This on-site role focuses on managing
operations, streamlining financial closings, and enhancing
financial reporting accuracy.
Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (On-Site)
Responsibilities as the Manager of Operational Accounting:
- Oversight: Manage daily operations of accounts payable,
accounts receivable, and inventory accounting functions, ensuring
accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Closings: Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end
closings, including account reconciliations and analysis of balance
sheet accounts.
- Inventory Accounting: Lead the inventory accounting process,
assisting plant locations with inventory and costing issues.
- Internal Controls: Maintain strong internal controls over
credit, collections, and cash application processes.
- Audit Support: Assist with external audits, including
quarter-end and year-end audits, as well as various tax and
financial audits.
- Reporting: Manage periodic tax and statutory filings and
support external financial reporting requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis to support
decision-making, particularly in inventory and cost of goods sold
(COGS) areas.Qualifications for the Manager of Operational
Accounting:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Experience: 10+ years of Progressive Accounting experience,
with 5+ years Managing personnel (manufacturing and cost accounting
expertise required).
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel (experience with Epicor ERP
systems is a plus).
- Attributes: Self-starter with the ability to work independently
and strong interpersonal communication skills.Application Notice:
