Job DescriptionEisnerAmper is seeking our next Head of Financial
Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This highly visible leadership
position has ownership of deliverables for the financial and
operational drivers of the Company. The incumbent will lead a team
of highly effective and driven Managers of planning and analysis
who identify and manage data sources from across the Company,
perform original analyses of performance, and communicate insights
to the Finance team, the Business Unit leaders, Executive
Committee, and the Board of Directors, within deadline-driven
timeframes. Working with the CFO, the Controller and the Treasurer,
the incumbent will help drive enterprise value growth.What you'll
be doing:
- Managing the flow of information to the Executive Committee and
the Board for monthly and quarterly updates and building the
financial projections for the year ahead and revising them through
the year.
- Lead financial presentations of insights and analyses. Design
and perform rigorous financial analyses and commentary for the
monthly reporting package, metric reports, and frequent ad hoc
reports including the margin forecast, budget vs. actual analysis,
trend analysis, and variances and other standard analyses of
enterprise and business unit performance.
- Develop, maintain, and innovate core FP&A databases and
tools, including interacting with business units on key data
streams, developing a deep understanding of the relationship
between underlying metrics and financial performance, and
independently extracting insights to communicate to the Board and
Executive Committee.
- Hands on analysis of M&A transactions for impact to the
budget and prior year pro forma results
- Analysis of our Company to validate our business model,
understand our cost drivers and provide insights to the CFO for
controlling expense growth and ensure we are using our resources
most effectively. This element of the role involves: Reviewing
specific cost drivers (e.g. personnel, technology and otherwise),
through in-depth reviews, working with the business to understand
the drivers with the aim of optimizing costs and to enhance
efficiencies.
- Working with many different teams with competing priorities, in
order to ensure that the consolidated picture is distilled into the
key messages and themes to enable the CFO to evaluate the business
globally.
- Coordination of EisnerAmper's planning and forecasting
processes, with a particular focus on:
- The annual budget process including analysis of historical
trends, resource requirements and capacities, and providing
supporting materials for business unit budget.
- Working with the heads of each Division to drive forecasting
advancements and methodologies that continually enhance Finance's
ability to support the executive leadership, which requires a
thorough understanding of all elements of our business sectors
- The creation of high-level analytics to help business managers
better understand their P&L levers and to increase awareness as
to how profits can be optimized
- The design and implementation of Key Performance Indicators
(KPI's) to accurately capture and allocate costs to their
appropriate drivers
- Developing Companywide policy in respect of forecasting
(rolling plan methodology improvements, monthly cycle activity,
etc)
- Oversight for Forecasting and Planning using SAP and its
deployment across the entire business. Lead planning, forecasting
and associated reporting including data strategy and marshal the
business resources to execute on that strategy. Relationship
management with all divisional SBU senior leaders to ensure both
buy-in and alignment of the Divisional/SBU objectives.
- Role will lead a global staff of 20+ professionals, including
management and staff teams across the US and India
- The position is well positioned to be the successor for the
CFO.We're looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, plus 15
years progressive development and experience in applicable business
roles.
- Must have worked in a Private Equity owned portfolio company
with heavy M&A activity, ideally with a revenue run-rate north
of $500 million per year.Ideally, you'll also have:
- MBA or Master's degree Finance or Accounting and/or CPA.
- Experience as a thought partner for the CFO
- The ability to work through complex issues with all members of
senior management and successfully represent matters with
management
- A track record of success in driving effective financial
reporting and operational accounting, as well as financial
performance improvements in a best-in-class global services
setting
- A solid hands-on business executive who understands the total
business process
- A high-energy yet balanced individual who is creative,
flexible, and self-starting, with strong leadership
capabilities.
- A perceptive individual who can digest reports from a variety
of areas and knows when to intercede to divert impending
problems.
- An analytical individual, who has a strong detail orientation,
yet maintains the ability to look at the total picture when making
recommendations
- An excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills
who can communicate on a regular basis with key individuals in the
organization on the business, financial and strategic goals of the
Company.
